Does anyone know if and where I can buy a proper shaped S1 air intake hose (old one split/blew and replacement is a make do)? And I also need the two ventilation hoses that run from either side of the front grill and disappear into the wheel arches are now held together by so many bits of tape they are a joke so I'm looking for new ones.
I'm having trouble using the new PH Search facility so sorry if this has been discussed before.

Sorry Su, the PH search engine cannot deal with the letter S! They are supposed to be fixing it for us but I guess they have given up. Bit embarrassing as I try to get owners on Facebook to access information on PH but they come back saying PH is useless as they cannot find anything! Better to go to Google and put in TVR S and the subject, it normally finds it.

The air intake is one issue. I would go to Neil at ML Performance and ask him first. What he doesnt have he can normally source very quickly.

There are a number of other suppliers but I would try him first as he knows his TVR's.

The ventilation hoses are quite another! Unless you are after originality then most people simply get rid of them! If it is hot you have the roof off, if it cold you would close them anyway! Any connection with demisting is purely coincidental! You will find discussions on PH, and some people have sourced pipes that will fit from a variety of sources but they are not available as TVR parts as such. Again Neil will probably be able to give you some advice if you are determined to mess up your engine bay!

Hi Sunnysu,
I replaced my worn out air inlet hose with 75mm twin walled wire reinforced silicon hose supplied by this company:

http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/

1 metre is more than enough, it comes in a choice of black or blue, with an orange internal wall.

For the fresh air leaf and insect distribution "anacondas", some people have used fish pond convoluted pipe from aquatic centres, or vacuum cleaner hose, but the trend these days is to remove them altogether as they are next to useless.
The body tub holes can be blanked off with expensive rubber grommets, or by using the inner seals from the tops of 190g jars of delicious Douwe Egberts coffee.
Barry S1 has run hoses from the dash eyeball vents to his heater outlet to give nice warm hands for winter driving. ( He's a southern softie wink )
