Please does anyone know what the electric mirror joystick is off for the S3/4/V8, and where can I get one?

If anyone has one they would be willing to part with for petrol tokens, I would be happy to take it.

Mine only wants to move the mirror right and left even if I push the toggle up and down. Feels a bit sticky too.

Probably teaching grandmothers here but have you had it out to see if it can be dismantled and cleaned? The other switches can be pulled apart so maybe the joystick can too?

Was going to do that tomorrow Joe, but would rather just pull the car apart the once, fit a new switch and keep the other for spares in case I or anyone else needed one.

Paul

Check this thread out - Rimmer brothers appear to be out of stock, but it looks like it was butchered from a stock Rover SD1 item.

The thread seems to suggest the toggle, is pulled out of this unit to get to the way TVR have adapted it.

That SD1 stick looks different to the one in my car, could just be the picture but it looks flat on the face rather than a pyramid. The one in mine is from a rangerover classic (not sure of the part number, I grabbed a spare when I saw one in the local scrap yard). I suspect that they're identical other than the appearance of the stick itself though and that bit just pulls off.

Hi Stewart

I hope you are well and recovered after the Eurotour. You mentioned you may have a spare electric mirror joystick. Would it be possible to take this off your hands for some beer tokens? I have not been able to find a spare at this time. If I find a source I will get a couple and let you have one back.

Cheers for now.

Apologies Paul. I did get your email just forgot to reply, bit busy today.

You're welcome to the switch. I'm not having electric mirrors so no need for a replacement.
