I have seen a number of posts over the years about cars which will not run when they are hot but run OK when they cool down.
While investigating which wire was the SPOUT connection on my distributor I came across this article. WWW.autosafety.org/ford-tfi-module-national-class-...
It is very interesting. Apparently the Ford TFI module fitted to cars between 1983 and 1995 is prone to failure at high temperature but works normally again when it cools down. . Could this be a possible cause of problems people have had? It may only apply to American cars but one of the cars they list is the 2.9 Bronco which I believe uses the Cologne V6.
Sorry if this is already well known, I have not come across it before
