me,....wait for the menders to fix the bonnet and front end damage and then find some winter events to drive it to...(annoyingly I will miss Chatsworth and the lakes museum weekends...but then what?) ....

...oh, I may fix a new charger socket on the passenger side for euro tours...etc...and maybe some new tyres that don't skid in the rain.... wink

Not much to do on mine,

Replace the folding bit of the roof
Rebuild the replacement 4.6 engine
Put the tacho back in and wire it up to work with the ECU that's now fitted
Keep driving it

Everything else can wait but next years jobs are
Rebuild the gearbox when I fit the new engine
Modify the bonnet hinges while I'm there
Change the seats
Paint it

One small project for the winter
I'd be tempted to buy a cheapo endoscope off ebay (about £6 if you use a USB laptop version and wait for snail delivery from China) and have a look in that outrigger so see if it really is terminal. I suspect so but sometimes surprises occur.
If it's like that on the underside, then it's definitely toast.

I've been advised that Piper 270 cams are noisy and it gave no power gain whatsoever.

I'm also running a solid alloy timing gear set, which apparently can chatter a bit. Irritating as the reason I opted for alloy.
"tappety" noise is all about "ramp angles" and clever stuff I believe, the way the cam lobe and follower act together?

Think it was the Piper website that suggested possible 10-15 bhp gain, mine hit 184.9 (185 would have been nice) on the rollers but it is a 2.9 so maybe responds differently and of course has timing chain rather than gears.
It is about ramp angles, yeah. I understand the physics of it, it's just the ramp angle between a Piper cam and a Kent (which allegedly don't make the noise) is so similar, it seems daft one could do it while the other doesn't. But only one way to find out!

All I need to no other manufacturers to use the 'ST' moniker and I'm all good. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been used, not by any major automotive players at least.....

I'll get back to you in the next week or two, I promise.
Sorry for the delay, but I'm really really busy at the moment.
What's your deadline for the new bushes?

Do you mean these ?

If YES, then possibly.
My diff will be coming out in the next few weeks. I'll then be able to measure up these mounting blocks and investigate how to make some from polyurethane.
