S3 Motorcraft Ignition Coil - Part Number?
Discussion
As part of my 'engine bay refurb' on my 1990 S3 (2.9 Cologne V6 engine) I want to replace the Ignition Coil with a new shiny one! However the Part number on my unit is mostly warn off and despite looking online finding a replacement has been confusing rather than becoming clear.
Can anyone advise of the right part number (All I can read on mine is: 79BB ???????? AA - See image attached) and even a recommendation for an alternative part if the Motorcraft 'original' is no longer available please?
What about this chrome cover for your ignition coil:

Oooooo shiny.http://www.monancienne.com/fr-FR/bride-couvre-bobi...
I found out the Motorcraft P/n: 79BB-12024-AA
Intermotor direct replacement is P/n: 11330
But as you say as my original is working fine maybe a nice shiny cover is the cheaper and better option.
Has anyone moved the location of their Ignition Coil from the standard Plenum Chamber fitting location?
Operation 'Tart up under the bonnet' is going well... Will post some before and after pics when done!

For 6 Euros I wouldn't expect shiny to last too long!TVRHasgo said:

Yes, mine now resides (away from the heat of the engine) on the flat area of the bulkhead next to the brake bias valve.phillpot said:
