Hi Chris,
Maybe one of the trade stands in the autojumble village hall at this weekend's NEC Classic Car Show can help? If you're not going, I could have a mooch round for you.
Alternatively have you tried Old Skool Ford?
Or asked on the Capri owners Club forum? I think the stops are the same.
And if new ones cannot be sourced, I'm fairly certain I have a pair of Sierra rear drum backplates with them fitted. I could try to extract them without damaging them if second hand would be acceptable.

Many thanks Glen if you don't mind looking at the weekend that would be great. I've tried all the places I could think of and even thought I'd sourced some from Germany only to again have my money refunded and an apology from the suppliers.Maybe one of the trade stands in the autojumble village hall at this weekend's NEC Classic Car Show can help? Second hand would be acceptable if in reasonable condition but would prefer new if at all possible.
Hi Chris,
Barry and I had a good hunt round yesterday, but without success. The nice guy on the Old Skool Ford stand suggested:
1. asking your local friendly Ford dealership to run a search on their Edix Europe parts search system.
2. trying GMS Capri Spares ( based in Northeast England )
3. or contacting Matt at Retro Ford International.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.
If you would like my old bits, PM me and I'll see if I can get them out.
Ooooh-err missus!
Good luck,
Glen

Many thanks for your efforts Glen and Barry.
I will try the suggested contacts but not feeling very confident I can find any new parts given I have already contacted the States and Germany without any success.
I did go down the route during my refurb of considering an upgrade to discs which I'm now regretting not making but I wanted it to be as original as possible plus apart from the aesthetics I don't see the need to replace the drums.
If anyone has any spares (especially those that have done the upgrade to discs) I would be very grateful.

I've a cable for drums for sale. The cable is in very good condition, the car(S3) has never been used during the winter and has always been stored in a warm garage all year around. It will not be 'cheap' since the cable is in Sweden, I guess shipping costs will be around 25£. Send me a pm if you still are interested.
