Hello all I am a new s3 owner and firstly would like to say hello. I love it, it has good Heritage having been owned by a chap who was very handy and is rebuilding ground up a 1960 Griffith and previous owner was a racing mechanic at Croft. I have two things that I am considering improving 1. Is the heating switch which has its decals missing. I am not sure what it should look like but I have seen a wedge decal on eBay that's looks similar. 2. The wood veneer is cracked and peeling off and needs to be replaced. I have read a few forums and I am toying with doing it myself over the winter but I am not the the handiest DIY person I would appreciate any advice and if there is any where local in North Yorkshire you could recommend.
Welcome! This is a great forum with a really friendly and helpful group of people. Proved absolutely invaluable when I got mine. Normally get an answer back in a matter of hours. I cant help you on your points as mine is an S1 and rather different.
Hope you get it 'mint' and have a lot of fun with it.

So I went to see classic car labs today about replacing the wooden dashboard Unit 3,
Riffa Business Park, Harrogate Road. They were very helpful but I felt that the £600 ish plus vat they wanted to replace the dash is rather over priced compared to what I have seen others pay any thoughts locally in Yorkshire I could speak with to do it ?
