Ladies / Gents,

The Dutch TVR Club is organising an S-Meet on May 29th !!
I know we are all very busy with all kinds of trips but I have been asking the Dutch TVR Club for years to organise an S-Meet and finally they did ;-)

The meeting is planned at the Dutch National Military Museum and we can use a dedicated TVR Parking

So, if you're in the neighborhood, drop by !!

See you in May , Han

Han - Can you recommend any not too expensive hotels near by? Is any body going? It would be great to show some British support for this event.

If we can get a few together for a cheapish w/e away it would be great to support Han, after all he supports us on this island with numerous trips over here to SCH etc.

Come on fellahs, let's get a group together.

Let's start a list:

1. Scoobimax & me Luch
2. v8s4me???
3.

Go on then, be rude not to wink

Bit over 200 miles from Calais by my (actually Michelin Route planner) reckoning, but that's nearly 100% Motorway. Find us a decent route Han ... or Frank smile

Direct, Mway is indeed 200 miles/call it 3 hours from Calais to Soest

If you wan to come over on the Saturday, leisurely, have dinner (and a beer, or two wink ) sunday morning drive out (Han ? route ? ) go to the venue, leave in the afternoon for home ?

I am not at all certain we can make this ourselves, will book once the date comes nearer...

Hmmmm. ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam crazy prices, but maybe Hull Rotterdam would work, bit less than £300.

Not sure why top gear Steve is trying to persuade my wife to come along, but whatever.......

Don't forget Monday 30th May is Bank Holiday Monday so ferry prices will be a rip-off. Dinner in Bruges on Monday night and come back on the Tuesday instead maybe?

Guys (and Lucia), what a fantastic response ! Very good to read you are planning to come to Holland ;-)

Of course I can find some "value for money" Hotels in/around Helmond.
We could also do a tour on Saturday and a good diner/beer in the evening.

Depends a bit what the general idea is, crossing the pond on Friday evening/ drive from Calais/Duinkerken to Helmond takes about 2,5-3 hours (scenic a bit longer) . Do a trip Saturday afternoon ?
S-meet on Sunday (incl scenic route to Soest). Return to Blighty on Monday ?

Let me know your plans and I will do some prep work.
1 couple could stay at our home in the attic (the Longers suite ;-)

Cheers, Hanita

Monday, drive to Bruges and stay in hotel we (me, Barry & Alan) stayed in last year. Afternoon evening in that beautiful city for food and MORE beer.

Return Tuesday via Duinkerken. (Avoid Calais, it's in France!). Yes I know Dunkirk is too, but only just laugh
