Julie and I are gutted to confirm we can't join - gutted. But my dad is in the Chelsea and Westminster with 3rd degree burns and needs looking after and will for some time yet. We have little choice. Have a good time for us guys. Will make us feel a bit better to see some photos of "what goes" on tour. Longers book us 1st place on next years please - smoke me a kipper, i'll be back for breakfast.
Pete Really sorry to hear about your Dad; I wish him a speedy recovery.
I am sorry too that we will not get to see you and Julie on the S-Tour. I hope we manage to see you both at some point this year.
Chaps - I'm really sorry for hijacking the thread a little - never my intention, but thank you all for so much for your comments which are welcome. To close - I will confirm he's stable but needing surgery, but can say for sure he's in the best place at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
As longers has said before in one of his speeches, we are all on a journey so take it on, get out there and do it.
In all sincerity, we see our fellow S Clubbers as extended family, and more than anywhere else in the TVR world - we get it (even if we occasionally have the roof up!), no matter where S's are seen in the TVR hierarchy - we don't care.
My Dad now knows how to get onto pistonheads and our little "S" place, so we all want to see the photos, including the juicy "on tour" not staying on tour stuff.
Some advice, before me and Jules sign out for a few weeks or more.
- Watch out for strange lights in the sky (In case your friends return Joe)
- I never did get that ticket Paul - you were right all along - so keep on the pedal
- Please Please please - Keep your faces away from dodgy expansion tanks and pressure valves guys - ALA Potless Paul
- Hans - keep it clean with those overtakes, and keep upstaging Max, even if he has a wooden steering wheel.....
- Tony - keep coming up with those blue peter gadgets (aka the sat nav shield)
- Glen - what can we say; your a legend
- Alan - if your going, keep the bolts done up on that bonnet and ultra minimalist engine bay, and don't set fire to anything with that manky brew making stove
- Mike - are you taking stainless oars for the river this year? I expect to see many annotated pictures explaining the details
- Longers - Julie will be back........ you've been warned, as has the man in the pink shirt.
- Clacket lane - If the "M25 ring" is moving - keep going guys, as its in a good mood!
I could go on, but its time to sign out and we sincerely wish you all a Safe, Speedy and Super S trip
We are famillee, I've got all my (brothers) with me........... and V8's Rule!
See you guys - over and out for a while. Pete & Ju
