We only have a TomTom Start25, it appears that we are unable to download the files to this model so, at the moment, we do not have satnav or route maps! Big Michelin map and highlighter may be the only way! Will have to rely on following Magpie to the meeting point and pedalling the S1 very hard thereafter to keep up with a technically more advanced S.

Has anyone managed to print the SatNav routes out ?

Mrs B would like a little Map to keep her fully in control !!
I can print the routes tomorrow evening although they can be quite small and difficult to use as maps.

Because I don't have a clue as to how to upload the files (will bring my laptop and satnav so some-one can show me)

I followed the hyperlinks to the routes on gooooogle maps then zoomed in to show reasonable distances on the page and then went to print - may work for you, however the very clever unit at work couldn't. So I then took photos of the pages on my phone - can then zoom in on these ok.

I won't be going fast anyway as my S has a 4.2 diff not 3.64

Thanks Barry, I hope you've included all the cement works en route. There are still quite a few I need to tick off!

Joe, Alan has the list of those requiring S Club beer glasses and hopefully will be bringing them along.
I shall be bringing my big Belgian litre beerholder just to be sure I get my share!
I think panic buying is a sound strategy, it's also why I'm intending to get to the Calais hotel nice & early wink

And don't forget to bring a few cans as backup, just in case.

Hi Tony, that would be great - just to give Lyn a view of our route and destination so she can refer to her (new) map book.

Maybe because we are on a Mac, but the links to Google Maps don't work for us.

Only 2 sleeps to go !

Of petrol? smile All the more reason to get out of that bloody country as quickly as possible. There's still time for another route update to take us north east and into Belgium and turn right at Veurne and go via Ypres thumbup

I've decided TomTom are daft. Why would they remove the itn facility from later models?

If you download this it will help, even if
you can't put them on the Satnav you can print
the maps and directions

Steve, as I mentioned a couple of days ago in this topic TomTom have reintroduced the ability to import custom .itn files. They obviously agreed it was a backwards step not to be able to do it!

For the same reason Microsoft dropped XP in favour of "improved" versions.

Niiige, just give her A map, ANY map. It doesn't have to be THE map. If Mrs B is anything like Mrs L'rs it'll make her feel better even though she'll not be able to read the map and will have no idea of where you are. Or where you should be! wink

Morning all,
We will come off the Hull Zeebrugge ferry Thursday morning at 7 H 45. We should be away from the port by 8 H 30 on the A17 and will join you just north of Tournai at junction 35 and then onto the E42. No doubt we will see you all at the mid morning stop near Charleroi between junctions 14 and 15.

Deborah and Richard

PS. Richard is threatening to wear a bow tie! Due to this I may have to wear a disguise and dark glasses. Please can someone talk some sense into him! rolleyes

it works to use the camera on a phone to photograph each days route(s) and then you can zoom in on the gallery photo.

I have not been keeping up on threads too well but spotted this one... If there is a TVR S Club Beer glass then put me down for two please, one for my co-pilot and one for my good self.

Cheers
Martin

Is it safe to load the sat-nave files - for the 3rd time?
