Hi all

I know this has been done to death, so this is a fairly basic question. TVR parts seem to sell a servo (part J0088) for £195 ex vat. This seems a bit steep, but if it is a direct fit and of reasonable quality I'd probably just do it for an easy (if poor) life.

Happily I don't need it just yet, so time is on my side. My question is, does this seem like a reasonable deal? There seemed to be some concern in previous threads about cheap Chinese knock-offs etc. Does anyone have any experience of the one on TVR parts by any chance?

Thanks

It is a Chinese reproduction part, though I've got one fitted to the S1 and I've also fitted one to a V8S. They're bigger in size than the original, with standard Ford fitment, but on an S that's no issue.

Mine works fine, more than happy with it. I've done around 1500miles on it so far, and got it from Racetech Direct, along with one of their trick cast master cylinders.

Looking at the rest of your immaculate engine bay I think you'll be let off! Looks great.

Thanks for the feedback - this'll probably be the route I go down then.

Cheers! It's a bit grubbier now, but it'll clean up ok. Got a few more bits to do yet (not just those wires!)
