I am under family pressure to be away for the Saturday and Sunday but would be available for the main event on the Monday. Kevin also has a pop up gazebo, identical to mine and so two would be available. I may have to work out logistics, however. The staff are investigating bunting availability. Sciatica is worse, if anything, but not bunting related.
Tony,
Thanks for you kind offer of matching gazebos which would be most welcome for our gathering, to supplement Phillpot's event shelter. Uniformity is a wonderful thing as it imbues the organisers with the appearance of some sort of planning ability, irrespective of the actuality wink We welcome anything that will protect us all from the unrelenting solar radiation on the great day.
I hope that the logistics of collection & delivery can be managed to our mutual satisfaction.

I am sorry to hear that your sciatica has failed to improve frown Perhaps your handmaidens could employ a different massage technique? Anything is worth trying. Are you absolutely certain that your condition has not been exacerbated by an excess of bunting? I know how easily it is to overdo things in this respect! wink Have you thought about employing the services of the renowned French physician M. Remy Martin? I have heard that he can work wonders. Personally, I gave great faith in some of the Scottish remedies.

Thankyou for your kind support Sir, we all look forward to your presence on the Monday. Will you be bringing your outside broadcast team on this great occasion?

Not long to go for the homeland S event of the year!

Who's coming?

I can only do the Sunday evening/Monday, do I need to book anything in advance for camping? I'll be bringing my four legged companion (and extra sausages).

Hi Lawrie,
No need to prebook for display or camping, just pay your fiver on arrival at the gate. ( Kit Car exhibitors & camping entrance). Take the right hand fork, and our S Club display plot 54C is close to the entrance, but our camping area is about 600 yards further along Avenue A on the right. Just look for the TVR banner.
Your four legged friend must be kept on a lead if he/she is a dog. Not sure about cats, horses or iguanas.
Looking forward to seeing you there. Barbeque should be starting about 5pm, weather permitting. ( As responsible organisers, we have to assess the risk of UV exposure. )

Nice one Ray, but aren't they supposed to stay up? wink Especially if you're under the car with them supporting it?

I have a couple of bottles of whiskey I intended to bring down. I will ask my Local S Club rep (Max) to bring them down as Janet has a minor operation on the Friday before, so I may not make it this year. I will ask Max to get me some tickets - I'm after the mirror rubber bands - no pressure! (Actually, my old ones have no pressure, which is why I need new ones- You know what I mean!)
Hope it all goes well again and I'll be sorry to miss it frowncry

As is the custom, people are donating some fabulous prizes for our charity raffle, this year in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Amongst those generously donated or promised so far are:
1. A genuine TVRCC 50th Anniversary shoulder/laptop bag, 3 SCH polo shirts in various sizes, a couple of TVRCC SCH mugs, all from the Club Office, thanks Ali,
2. Tuscan Challenge Raceday ticket vouchers courtesy of Mike Luck of DG Sportscars,
3. An only slightly used but nonetheless extremely useful copy of Steve Heath's S Series "Bible" and a set of 8 O-ring bands for the CX type mirrors thanks to Simon,
4. Booze and chocolates (fine wine, truffles & praline) if I can resist the temptation until the raffle. yum
5. Niiige has promised some really exciting things as well. But not his Dr. Who scarf. nono
6. A pair of finest axle stands courtesy of RayTVR
7. A brace of whiskies kindly donated by Tony arhTVR, hopefully to be delivered intact by Max.
Thanks to all for your generosity so far.

Any further contributions of suitable prizes will be most welcome, it's for a very good cause, I'm sure we've all been touched by cancer in some way.

Alan & Niiige have been busy producing some desirable items that you will be pleased to own. Especially when you fill them with beer. beer
Available for purchase on the day. ( No, not the beer, the glass mug! )

And don't forget to get polishing your P&J, as we'll be holding our annual conkers concours event in which you all get to vote for your favourite S in each category.
The trophies are ready to be won!

Let's have a good turnout! See you there!

Please wish Janet all the best from all of us Tony, we hope all goes well and she has a speedy recovery.
I must confess to having an interest in the mirror o-rings, as Percy is devoid of them. At least it ensures that the spiders' home us well drained and aerated.
I nay have to buy some proxy tickets for myself.
Whiskies added to the list. Some lovely prizes there!

any chance I could win Philpott's prize again this year ( I didn't know I needed a 23mm spanner till I changed the fuel filter) My jack bag has disintegrated and that looks very nice. Is your sister re-creating them?

Thanks Glen, I'll be aiming to turn up around 4-5 in order to get the tent erected and hopefully the beers will still be chilled to a suitable temperature, though I realise this is going to be a difficult task given the imminent heatwave (looking at the forecast I'm assuming you haven't had time to pop over to see the Druids yet?).
