How do you keep yours?
Discussion
bloody hell, you lot, i hope you all know how lucky you are!!!! i wish i had a nice warm garage to keep my car in, ideally big enough to work on it in, and better still with a wood burning stove, radio, coffee machine and beer fridge, while i'm dreaming, a pit for working under the car and plenty of good lighting and space for all my tools!!!
my car has to live under this camo tarp outside my house in busy north london street, my tools live in my lounge, and when i have to work on my car it means dragging every tool i need out onto the pavement where i can't leave anything to pop back in for a cup of coffee let alone lunch incase it is gone by the time i come back out, and often means laying in the gutter in all weathers! THAT is dedication!

See the thing is Drak - When they say its cheaper up North and you can get a garage, its true - but North London isn't far enough mate.I agree with the sentiment, which is EXACTLY why i'd be happy to head North if my job permitted - even if its just for nicer roads, better scenery and above all, a decent garage!! my car has to live under this camo tarp outside my house in busy north london street, my tools live in my lounge, and when i have to work on my car it means dragging every tool i need out onto the pavement where i can't leave anything to pop back in for a cup of coffee let alone lunch incase it is gone by the time i come back out, and often means laying in the gutter in all weathers! As it is, I squeeze mine in here and when I want to work on it, have to roll it out onto the drive and shortly after that the curtain twitchers start to moan.

Flippin 'eck Pete, you southern Jessies live dead posh lives, what with your fancy curtains & suchlike! Austin & Percy live in a rain-sodden shoebox outside a cowshed in a midden near the swamp next to no-mans land adjacent to the cordoned-off plague containment zone. And oop norf, that is considered to be the very lap of luxury. Nothing but the best for my brave boys

I'm with you Glen, tis nowt but cruel of them southern Jessies keeping their trevors all locked up in prison like when us knows they is meant for the good fresh air. Let em breath I say!
Yep, mine has to stay outside in all weathers with a dainty little hood cover like yours of course. Mind you 'she' is about to go camping (in her own tent, courtesy of Sealey, if I can get the bloody thing up!) just so I can do some work on her without my old bones getting chilled again. I swear that in all this rain my skin has started to leak working outside.
Full marks to young Dracula for getting down and dirty with his, mind you I think his posture needs some work!
For those of us who do not have the resources to cosset our cars in luxury, I suggest you do not look at this on Facebook, I thought the car was green at first then I realised it was just my envy colouring my judgement:

Ahh, how the other 1% lives!!!

OK Glen - point made, although i'm fascinated by the plague pit description. I thought the only one of those was Gruinard Island oooop norff . We have quite a few like Blackheath and Mortlake etc, but usually build on any greenery that's left including plague pits. No mans land sounds interesting - maybe some nice roads there. I guess Drak and I are just a bit envious of the man cave's on display in this thread and "aspire" for the best for our P & J's. Also a limiting factor to the work that can be done. Believe me, I'd rather no-mans land than hyacinth bucket anyday. Nothing but the best for my brave boys
