My S1 Austin is the hardy type, likes the Cat & Fiddle Pass in winter*, but Percy my S3c has been cosseted in a tiny rented lock-up garage when he's not being used.**
I have the old crafty tennis ball on a string suspended from the rafters so that when it touches the screen, I know the front is 0.5" from the storage cabinet at the end wall, and si there is just enough room at the back of the car to close the up-and-over door. And I have stuck carpet underlay on the side wall so I don't damage the paintwork on the door when extricating or inserting my vast bulk. ( It's a very narrow garage, compared to my waist size )
The main thing is to enjoy our S's as they are meant to be used, irrespective of how they spend their time eagerly waiting for that next blast!
