Hethel lotus test track retro event
Discussion
That's annoying, would love to drive Donnington properly, but I think it clashes with work....I used to be excellent at the TOCA touring cars on the PlayStation 2 there before the other tracks were unlocked....
...watch out for the Meganes as they tended to push me off if I under took them on some of those corners...

What's the general approach to track day insurance for this one gents? yes/no? costs?
Classic Line or Manning will not let you include this as part of your allowance as it is not regulated by the ATDO. I insure all my trackdays but I did the last Hethal Day I did without insurance. I was happy with the decision, being a classic car track day there were no idiots and there were very few cars allowed out on track at a time, a little too few IMO but from a risk point of view great. You are welcome Ian. Magnitude to partner with an insurance company so may be worth getting a quote from them if you are weighing up options

If in doubt then I would get the insurance as you don't want the worry to ruin the day. My post above is only my personal option and we all view risk differently. I would personally never do a public Javelin or MSV day without insurance, I know plenty that do but it is not for me as there are a lot of cars on track and also some idiots. The last Hethal day everyone was very curtious on track and all the cars were people's Pride and Joy which makes a difference to the standard of driving when compared to when people turn up in battered old trackday weapons that they don't really care if they crash.
