I called my insurance company today to inform them that I was going to do this track day and arrange cover but they wouldn't cover me because the organiser is not a member of any of the recognised track day organisations
I have never bothered with insurance on many scores of track days. What is the worst that can happen? I've never seen any contact on track days at all .
I did see a crash at Mallory Park - brand new pick up truck, I think it was either a Holden Maloo or a Ford F-150, he lost the back end coming out of Gerrards, and ended up trashing both ends and one entire side on the Armco.
Plus I saw an Exige taken out at the hairpin at Cadwell Park by an MG ZX 180 - damage to both sides of the car and the suspension.
Plus an Elise and an Evora that both lost it in the damp coming over the Mountain at Cadwell, again visiting the Armco.
And a Mini taken out by an Audi Arse Ess 6 at Bedford - he overtook in a corner and on the wrong side. One damaged wheel on the Mini, but thousands of pounds worth on the Audi.
Accidents do happen, but they are thankfully rare.

I tried to insure for this with Classic Line but the TDO is not part of the ADTO and neither is the circuit apparently so they will not insure it.
I do always insure at trackdays just in case I do run out of talent but I will take a risk this time, doesn't look like there is much armco to hit.

I did speak them today and they are in the process of getting registered And I'm sure it will be a well run event, if you want insurance Morris will cover their events but it's an extra cost for those of us with classic line,
If you do more than six track days a year then it's less of an extra cost, as any track days over 6 cost £53 a time with Classic Line. Useful info thanks. It looks like a nice track to drive,,
I'm also not insured for this one and I'm just hoping it will be a good standard of cars and drivers, of which I'm sure it will
Having done a few track days in my car I've found the faster twisty corners are my favourite and you can get a lot out of the car.
I'm doing this for the experience more than anything, I'm hoping they'll be some spanking motors there to share the track with.
Can't wait

Do it Top Gear,, similar colour to mine, I adore the S models,
My grandson will be stoked if I get some pictures,, he's 10 and watches old Top Gear shows and laughs his head off,,
I'll gladly act as your wing man and block challengers. that's if I can keep up with you,,
Look at the Ariel view of the circuit,, all those famous drivers who have tested their cars there,, that's why I'm going,, to feel the spirit and thrill of it all.
Places must be getting tight by now, I'd move on it.
I also really like the fact it's on Sunday,, that's the proper day for racing and driving cars for fun;)

Aaaaah, not a bad idea really!
I'll just tell grandson he re painted it
There's sommething really interesting about the S rear end, I find the shape of the whole car mesmerising and I rue the day I sold my fantastic S2.
Anyway whatever car one chooses it's always a joy to see any Tvr rattling around let alone an S.
