Welcome Lawrie & Jez smile

Lawrie, the peacocks will remain silent if you keep your snoring volume below the decibel limit of 97dbA. Exceeding this is the trigger that sets them off. Eeyah! Eeyah! Also remember to keep a close guard on your sausage. As Graham can confirm, those brightly-plumed asbestos-beaked brigands will have it away in the blink of an eye if you're not ever-watchful yikes

Jez, no objection to your Dark Side craft,we all know how gutted you are, and how much you miss your S weeping
And it was Tom TJC46 who initially suggested Barn Farm as a suitable venue for our cavortings. And he had been seduced by the Dark Side even then.

Graham, are you a definite maybe, or perhaps a possibility? And will Stuart be coming along as a chaperone? wink
'The Darkside "is hoping to return to planet Barnside farm in 2016, thats if i can complete a few "over winter" jobs that i still have not finished.......................SO WATCH THIS SPACE !

And of course, before i depart for planet CHIMAERA, the wonderful gratuitous picture, of my personal choice of transport........... .weep and enjoy.................you all know you want one!

smokin....smokin.....smokin.....yes....yes.....yes

Richard and Debs (I have yet to persuade her that camping is comfortable and an essential part of the romantic experience, especially after being blessed by the 'Druids', so we may be at a B&B or caravan. I have tried to persuade her that we are going to be on hallowed turf serenaded by peacocks but as yet it appears I have still to convert her to the finer points in life)

Nice one Alan & Andy.

I shall block book places for evening meal places for us at the Red Lion, and sat lunch at the Ladybower Inn.

Mick, Andy Lynch has the map on pdf if you ask him nicely.

Can I just check something regarding meals, being a Barn Farm newbie...

Is someone making a group booking for those on the list for the both the Red Lion on the Friday night, and Ladybower on Saturday for lunch?

Or is the group booking just for the Ladybower inn on Saturday?

What do people do for breakfast on Saturday morning?

only been the once but last year Glen sorted the block bookings for both the Red Lion (Fri/Sat nights) and LadyB

For the breakfasts some of us bring camping gas burners and we all muck in with stuff to cremate (and tea / coffee etc)

We call them peacocks. laugh

Seriously though (and I know Glen is away so cant answer yet) bring some grub and something to eat it off and something will get sorted somehow. You may also feel the need to bring some modest amount of liquid refreshment to quench your thirst after the (short but uphill) walk back from the pub each night. Fortunately for the older members of the party Glen kindly arranges for a VIP pitch for us, very close to the (rather excellent) conveniences.
This is not exactly backwoods camping, Barn Farm is an AA rated 5 star site http://www.barnfarmcamping.com , very select, Glen had to plead hard to be allowed to have any Chimeras join us S gentlemen.
