For those who are staying at Speed Chills BSJ this year, I wondered if being a little coordinated in terms of campsite pitches would be of interest?

I am traveling down on the Thursday and partaking in Miner49er's convoy down to Le Mans accompanied by two others and the obligatory boot full of beer. This will be our first Le Mans but given the community spirit I've heard a lot about in the build up, I thought having adjoining pitches with people from PH would be a good laugh. It may well also reduce the doubling up of gazebo's/BBQ's/other essentials!

If you are up for it, let me know and I can get onto Speed Chills and see what they can do re: plot allocation.

Cheers,

Tom

I feel that this post can't go unanswered for a first timer! I'm not camping on BSJ, however I do have Speed Chills access so if I see you in the bar I'll buy you a beer smile

I and TDutchy will be there in a Yellow VX220 and an Olive Green BMW Z4 (my VX pictured below).

We'll also be in miner49er's convoy with you tomm783 smile

Am I right in thinking SpeedChills have pre-determined spaces for each of us? If so, we should create a list of BSJ Comrades this month and ask SpeedChills to pitch us in close proximity to share BBQ's, beers and banter.

Output, I'll make sure I hunt you down for that pint! I'm sure there will be ample opportunities to return the favour and bump into GrahamM3 in the process.

Tokyo, we are likely to arrive around the same time so I've no doubt there will be the confused "how the hell does this bloody tent fit together?" look on our faces and will be as easy to spot as you are with your sporty roof box!

Potatoes, I think you are correct - they pre-allocate ahead of arrival so I can't see why we can't ask to be situated together. Ill fire off an email to ask if they can accommodate. I'll consider you a yes to being allocated next to us then?! Have you gone for a standard c35 or c25 pitch?

Thanks mate, we're a yes to being situated next to you and have a joint C35 & C10 plot due to the width of our 2 cars and size of a our tent.

Glad to hear the E28 is making it back again. Mine will be parked on Bleu Sud outside Speedchills, looking in enviously.

Tom, we're back at Speed Chills for the 6th year. We'll hopefully meet up with you and Potatoes in Miner49er's convoy (although we will be playing a bit of catch up due to our tunnel crossing time).

A Tuscan is joining these two this year;

Let's not count our chickens, it's not made it yet! I'll be popping over to Bleu Sud at some point so I'll keep an eye out for you.

Denzel, sounds good. I'm sure you won't have too much of a problem catching up in those, unless the TVR gives up on the route down! Even if you don't catch the convoy though, you'll be difficult to miss in the campsite!

So I had an email from Speed Chills explaining that they don't pre-allocate campsite plots however if people want to be together, arrive together and let the check in staff know and they'll sort you out.

As I'm in the convoy down, that's not going to require any more planning but for those not convoying down, I'd suggest meeting up with your group just outside then checking in together.

I'm so excited now, not long to go!

Hi All,

For those taking part in the convoy, I reckon you’ll arrive at Beausejour around 4:00pm. If you decide to go to Carrefour beforehand to stock up, perhaps an hour later.

I’ll be forwarding more comprehensive details in the next couple of days.

Denzel, we had a blast camping next to you guys last year - good times!! Hopefully catch up with you again this time. Interesting to see if you get better mpg from the Bentley this year - I seem to remember the stats from the trip down were a bit eye watering!! Cheers.

Hi Rob. Really good times!!! 6.8 mpg for the whole trip was pretty good going I thought! I'm sure that there will be the annual press up / burpee competition... Alex and Phil have been practising their jäger bomb consumption in anticipation!! Can't wait to see your fancy dress this year... And yes, the vinyl decals saved my door from the attack by the gazebo framework!! Look forward to seeing you boys down there. D
