Tyres for RL7s
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm struggling to find four matching tyres for the Cerb, I have RL7s so 235/40/17 at the front and 245 or 255s on the rear. I'm tempted by Yokohama AD08Rs, but can't seem to find rears very easily, and if so the load rating differs to those at the front. Does this make much difference? Any other recommendations?
Cheers.

I've always used eagle F1's
MyTyres say they have them

Are they not available then? Should I panic buy and stockpile a set?

I just checked Protyre (who only stock tyres for 180 days), and they only offer a Falken and Kumho in that size, which says to me any you find will be old stock..

I have a friend from Germany, who said they change them every 4yrs regardless.. Tbh, I would keep an eye on them and look for aging/perishing starting. My tyres were manufactured in 2011 and still look ok. Although even if they look ok, they could still have hardened. Fresh tyres do grip best, so I might look at changing them in the next 12 months.
I run AD08R's in those sizes and have nothing but praise for them. Re stock I found that the supply for the rears can be patchy, obviously more commonly used, but found that checking a week later all was well with stocks. The good things was when fitted I noted they were within weeks of the manufacture date so definitely not old stock!

Higher load rating will mean stiffer sidewall.I'm struggling to find four matching tyres for the Cerb, I have RL7s so 235/40/17 at the front and 245 or 255s on the rear.
