he can't keep up with the guys selling cheap Chinese tat on the internet.
there is cheap tat but with minimal overheads branded/quality items can be sold very cheaply via the internet. Then of course you have the likes of Euro Carparts doing to the little independents what the Supermarkets did to local shops.
I got my extended lead from here. When I bought mine they were listing them individually so you could specify a bespoke length. Worth a try?
Paul - does that mean I've missed out on my spare?

No problem as such, it's mainly for aesthetic reasons, in my case anyway. Although there is an argument that moving the coil to somewhere cooler avoids issues with it breaking down under the effect of the heat transferred from the engine.
If you don't mind an ugly lump of metal stuck on the side of your nice shiny plenum with a DIY "TVR Special" bracket then don't take any notice of us nerds
When I moved my coil I did it as part of a project to re-locate the ignition amplifier which is normally attached to the side of the distributor, and is definitely affected by too much heat.

Now understand, thanks for that Joe If you don't mind an ugly lump of metal stuck on the side of your nice shiny plenum with a DIY "TVR Special" bracket then don't take any notice of us nerds

It does, sorry Joe. He is having a mass clear-out.Paul - does that mean I've missed out on my spare?
New coil, ignition module, dizzy cap and rotor arm all ordered as I think I've got heat issues so replacing whatever's not new in the ignition department.
Relocating the coil is a heat prevention thing but it the original location isn't in the depths of the V but better safe than sorry.

I've just checked with accu-spark. They are out of black but they can make you a bespoke lead in red or blue. I paid £3.50 inc postage for my 91cm lead. Or you can get one from Magnecor for over £20.00. No brainer really.
