After 7yrs of VX220 fun and having been with you TVR S boys on the Scotland Tour 2009, 2 x SPA Classics and 2015 France Tour, I've finally gone mad* / seen sense* (delete as appropriate) and bought an S3. Someone here may know J942GGO, so hello from us both and now looking forward to going Dutch next week. See you boys in Calais. Si & T.

Hope you both enjoy it. Plenty of room in an S for ALL your clothes without needing to use your crash helmets as suitcases. biggrin

See you next week.

Actually I would have quite liked the VX to replace my dying Mk 2 Mondeo. frown

After driving Si's S yesterday I can confirm that we certainly will hear him coming - I reckon it must be the poppingest and bangingest V6S on the road!!

Yes , my neighbours will not miss the pops or the bangs.

Si, enjoy the car I am delighted it has gone to such a good home. So I am now adapting to Lancia life, a full rally spec Fulvia HF in canary yellow, LHD, FWD V4 as opposed to RWD V6, dog-leg box, by the time you get to 50 mph the rev counter is screaming at you to change from 4th to 5th - so very different from G-GO.

I loved the S3 for its grunt and presence, now I am playing with 1300cc and 100 BHP but I'm equally fascinated & happy, this defines our status as petrol heads...
