Racking memory... was it not lifted from the Mk 2 Granada?

Edit: Hmmm, Google image search suggests not. The Vanden Plas Princess and Allegro had a rectangular clock but it was chrome. Maybe it was from something foreign...

Addendum: Vauxhall Monza, Senator, Viceroy, Royale...

Some 1990s Range Rovers had a similar rectangular clock...

I think my 280 clock has Ford stamped on the back, and it might be Granny Mk1 ??

I think there's also a Smiths one the same size from Jag (but I agree it probably has a chrome rim...)

My US Spec 280i has a rectangular clock by Kienzle, the German clock and watch company.

Hi Brent,

the original is, as said from Kienzle, Germany. But the clock from an Opel Ascona looks similar and fits perfect. I've one as a spare part. If you like I can bring it to the BBWF.
