Hi everyone

Last year some of us had an S Club mini-meet at the Buxhall fete http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=151...
Surprisingly we've been invited to attend again!

Many people have previously described it as the perfect village fete. Having been I can see what they mean wink

Unfortunately I can't go this year but if you want to attend please let me know and I'll pass your details to the organisers.

Cheers,
L'rs

I really wish I could be there again this year, but I have to attend a family get together here oop norf next weekend.
However I was in Gt. Finborough ( next door to Buxhall ) last thursday if that's any consolation. Close, but no cigar!

I can thoroughly recommend the Buxhall fete though, if last year was anything to go by thumbup . Hope you all have a fun day! Good luck on winning the "Bowling for the pig". smile

Please post lots of pics on here of the day!

Hi Anne & Rick,
Last year Damian asked for us to be there before 1 pm, so I assume it will be the same this year. This is so that the cars are parked up in the display before the public are admitted. There was a parade of the classic cars in the afternoon. If you wanted to participate in that, you had to submit your details to Damian to pass on to the show commentator.

Enjoy!

As per last year - any issues on the way down then let me know. I only live a few hundred yards from the Chestnut horse and have lots of tools etc.

I will be in the Orange Sagaris, same as last year

Sorry you couldn't make it Terry...was good as last year and the same warm weather..

...Barrie was there too but decided it would be safer to park off the road in the pub car park.....with the keys left in it!

Some very novel stalls , the Human fruit machine had to be seen to be believed.
A lovely afternoon out smile

Yep the human fruit machine is a really good innovation! I enjoyed that last year, it gets very compulsive, and the random fruit selectors are very entertaining! biggrin I wish I could've been there today, sounds like you all had a good time. smile

So who won the bowling for the pig?

This afternoon I went to a small local fun day with my family, and I won a nice bottle of wine, a bottle of diet coke, and a £35 voucher to spend at a local gastropub. And I bought 4 really good books for £2.50. So it did make up for my disappointment at missing Buxhall Fête. smile They wouldn't let me on the bouncy castle though! frown
