Hi !

I encounterd a small problem with my starting motor.

Last night I flushed the cooling system and cleaned a part of the engine. I parked the car in my garage to find it the next morning 2m furhter than i had parked it.

Now and than the starter motor turns over, and hence i parked it in gear the car had moved.

My question is, whats the fastest way to find the electrical problem ? Or anyone had the same problem ?

The starter motor may have become wet, but everything above the exhautst manifold was kept dry.

Could it be the solenoid is stuck in the near on position due to some water intrusion ?
(seems strange since the ignition is turned of)

Thx !

Robin

Measured the terminal going to the battery and the one going to the starter motor.Circuit is closed, so i think the solenoid must be stuck.

Dicky ignition switch, or a short going to the solenoid trigger wire?
