Hi Everyone been a while since I posted.

Unfortunately me and the S parted company with the road yesterday. Fortunately no one was injured but the S took a bit of beating. However after straightening the the throttle plate she started and I drove her home with a police escort.

Many thanks to Dave M, Sal and Laurie S for coming to my aid very much appreciated.

The S thankfully looks repairable but the bonnet has split in two.

Does anyone have a bonnet that they are willing to sell ?

Sorry to see that. If you can't find a second-hand one, try Tett Mouldings. They were trying to sell off their moulds but they might be able to help. Not cheap though! Good luck thumbup

You are most welcome mate. It's a shame my duct tape didn't work though! As we said yesterday, nobody was hurt which is what mattered and we were able to have a beer later smile

Many thanks bonnet bought just need to have it shipped to my body shop in Leicester

Spoke to Trevor at Tett mouldings who is retiring in six weeks . He wants to try and ensure the S bonnet mouldings survive.

Does any one know of a company or business that would be interested in buying them ?

Naive, imho. Been advertised for sale in Sprint for the last few editions so I would have thought TVR would have made contact by now for any moulds they are interested in.

deadspider,

I am the current owner of the bonnet you have purchased.

Can I suggest you start a new thread about a possible parts delivery relay. The bonnet is in Lewisham. It was fine on the Box's (a Touran) roof rack so a roof rack equiped car should be fine.

Annoyingly, I was up by Cadwell Park today so could have got it a chunk of the way there.

Nice to meet you, shame about the circumstances.

Glad to hear you got home ok, did the pressure cap hold out? I did have problems with it letting go when the temperature starts to rise, though guess you had plenty of cooling on the way back wink Just be aware if, when it's all back together you have issues.

I've just noticed that that might be an S4 bonnet. Shame.

Stewart, I think Peter's heading to Coventry in his Merc ML any day now. That's only 20 miles from Leicester.
I have had all sorts of large objects in my ML so imagine it would fit. Might be worth a call.....

Mine was an S,2,3 bonnet . Thankfully Stuart the one I have purchased from you will fit perfectly.

Lawrie once again thank you and the cap held perfectly, must admit it felt most surreal limping home with no bonnet.

I went back to pick the remaining bits up and it turns out I managed to hit both lampposts feeling very fortunate to have been able to drive her home.

If the radiator is borked then have a look at using a Subaru Impreza STi (99-2004 iirc) item instead of the 'proper' one as an alloy one is a fifth the price of the TVR item. Plentyfull supply too. The mount will need a little tweak but basic stuff. Size is fine. New rad, fan, mounts and clips can all be had for around £160.

If you can salvage the lower light pods these can be grafted onto the S1/2 bonnet so might be worth considering. Also try and salvage the rubber bump strips and indicators.

If the indicator lenses are busted then some BMW E36 lenses fit.

Finally, may as well do the 'open wide' mod at the same time.

Got your text. I'm in all day doing paperwork and digging out the garden. If the courier calls me, I'll meet them and take them to the garage.

I was actually looking to replace my S1 rad with an ally one while my system is drained out so may be able to help out here.. (Got it re-cored last year, works fine)

Would happily sell it if I could find replacement ally one which ain't £500 eek
In regards to the Subaru one, I take it the act stainless water pipes I just got wouldn't fit?
