Hello Folks

I've not been around these parts for a while and have failed to attend any TVR events this year either.. Lots of niggling problems and low car confidence abound... Even this week the brakes replaced last year were binding and I was tired with the one thing after another.. You know how it can be sometimes.. Should I just get a Chim or a Tam.. Didn't want to put any more money into the car etc..

i wanted the car to look good again and following some DIY fibreglass mods this wasn't the case at all.. What was worse was no one wanted to touch the car.. frown tried all the local guys, one seemed interested but then retired (no blame here at all) another local specialist didn't ever do me a quote after a couple of visits and didn't seem keen to do the mods I wanted.... Eventually I spoke with Surface and Design and what a joy to deal with.. No job daunted them and they liked my plans... They had imagination where others didn't.

I hadn't driven the car this far for months and frankly I wasn't looking forward to it and was nervous frown

Anyhow brakes stripped down lubed and replaced thanks to my local garage who it turns out are really good at this Kind of thing, checked tyre pressures and off down the A59 I went., the car was going home.. Oh what a joy, town driving on pot holed roads really doesn't suit our cars, it always feels better at speed.. Not too much speed though as my new bonnet hump wouldn't fit in the car so was taped over the bonnet... I had visions of loosing it skywards but my tape job held no problems. The roads were smooth, sun out (roof on as boot full of parts) but it was a joyous drive and no way would I swap the car now...she really came alive, was smooth, fast and fantastic through the bends...

So now she is with S&D and DC trim for mods, paint and interior finishing.. I can't wait to see the result no spoilers here (?) but I hope you will like the result.. That said I'm sure I will and that's what will count..

Should be ready in 5 - 7 weeks, then a quick map check (had to change tps) and we are golden..

If any events are left I will try to bring her out to play..

Cheers

Hi Damian
I'm interested to see how your hump works out - I've just been working on mine to suit the Cossie engine. Hopefully, you will be able to make it to the TVR Chatsworth gathering on 2 October. (gratuitous advertising, I know!) and we can compare humps, I mean notes!!
Tony.

Cool so I will aim for Chatsworth.. And the WGW, I'd actually forgotten about that one but its local (ish) and I've always liked Goths... smile also I wonder if there is a London tunnel run this year..

I will post some picks once the work is completed.

Thanks Guys
