Accelerator cable s3
Discussion
the problem is there is no throttle peddle stop, so you apply strain to the cable end with your foot until it snaps.
there are a couple of ways of making a stop - there are threads on here.
I drilled a hole from the wheel-arch behind the peddle and fitted some threaded bar through til it hit the back of the peddle (in the fully down position) fitted nuts inside and out and cut the excess off in the wheel arch side.

It's not a Ford pedal box but original cable is standard Ford so guess should be ok?
A lot of cars that used the 2.9 engine ( i.e. Granada's) would have been automatics, cable may still work but will have a big "clumpy" switch thingy at the engine end instead of the threaded adjuster...............

I've just fitted a good second hand throttle cable from a Granada Scorpio 2.9EFI. It fitted real easy.
The cable is from an automatic car but doesn't seem to have any adjustment in it ?
It's a tad fast on tick over, and I would like to wind it down a bit, has anyone fitted one of these ?
