Very nice young Steve, great progress indeed. smile

However I cannot help but notice that your Phantom S has the Shadow of the Big M cast upon it. Will this be a permanent spectre? Or will it metamorphose into a lovely shadow of a big S?
Why thank you kind sir, ah that was the m for 'mishimoto' who design the rads, it's covered up by the fan now wink

@scubaman04 As for close up pics you may have to make do with our Glen the male model if the years selfie biggrin
Think Ive only got the two snaps on my phone sent from my mechanic earlier

Looking very good.. Not Glen... But the car..

Is that your permanent brake fluid resovoir ? Looks a little larger than normal smile to me..but I guess if the bonnet shuts additional fluid won't do any harm.

Actually reminds me I should refit my id plate..

Cheers

Damian

Hi Damian, no the reservoir just came with the servo (presume it'd foul the bonnet) off a ford fiesta or something along those lines. Only cost £50 in oppose to £250 there charging on eBay for ka one I think? (Can't remember)

My servo was rotten so had to be replaced & got twin brake fluid reservoirs from CBS in titanium finish smile

Hi Greyhulk,

Super job on the car looking forward to pics of finished item.

Two questions if u don't mind,

One, what are the tyres and sizes that u have on ?

Two, How did u get the wheels to look so good, r they sprayed or polished?

Hi mate, thank you, can't wait to get it back to be honest. The tyres I'm about to have put on are toyo proxes cf2 205/60 R15, got a pretty sweet deal for the four. The rims are just powder coated in 'shadow chrome' worked out about £180 for the four which was great. Hyper silver also looks really good

Do excuse the blue boy racer'ish air duct, still waiting on black silicone replacement, AutoSiliconeHoses taking absolutely ages to get stock in..

Its.. Alive

lower grills finally replaced with stainless steel upgrade (phillpot will be happy)

Looking good!
Are you happy with your "bold choices", that's what matters?
Would you change anything?

Thank you, yeah i am really pleased with it all, sure some of the things are just a matter of personal taste.. I mean 'bright green' silicone hoses are the boldest choice by far laugh but hey they match the calipers & have the desired effect of standing out when the bonnets open.

Hm i would have changed the choice of wrapping s.steel manifolds to ceramic coating which just looks way better, also the wing mirrors to body colour but its due back this weekend & i dont want to delay it any more & of course the darn blue air intake will be a must to changeover to black silicone asap!

Looking good Steve! cool
Are those Capri III mirrors? They look kinda familiar, and suit the car ( IMHO ).

All you need now is the Spa sticker on the back end, but you have to do the laps first to qualify for that right. wink

I bet you can't wait to get the Green Phantom on the road! driving
But beware of the Phantom Raspberry Blower!!! yikes

Nice one Steve. Must get a new pair of darker sunglasses before viewing!
I will also be hiding mine away so 'she' doesnt turn all envious on me, dont want her sprouting green hoses do we!.
Got some decent miles on mine this year and she hasnt let me down, so maybe she also deserves a few new bits this winter.

Nice one gents, yes glen they are indeed capri wing mirrors (think mk2 escort aswell?) our very own phillpot has them. They really suit the car well so i thought id change my mx5 ones over, the drivers side was set abit too low anyway had me ducking in the seat to see out of it properly.

Richard i shall supply full tinted shades for spectators of the 'green dream' engine bay laugh, are you going ahead with the respray on yours then? If so what colour.. same as my silicone hoses maybe biggrin:

Hopefully i shall see you gents soon at one of the next gatherings

Very pleased with all the work been done on the rebuild & all the upgrades i asked for.
Tony at coventry car centre has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, kept me up to date with pictures of the work been done on the car each week & calls up to discuss possible alterations etc

Things you should know young Steve:

Greymrj: the grey denotes the hair colour ( like most of the GTS members).
But green is the preferred colour of the senior members, with the exception of young TurboTony, who also prefers green.
Oh, and Joe is definitely on the grey side. Barry prefers white, but he is really too young for GTS membership.

Personally, I favour the blue material. wink
