Yes this has been done before, and I'm not inventing the wheel here but WOW what a transformation.

Topcats have done this for me and it transforms the car. Absolutely love the noise, coaxing those pops out is addictive!

If you're in doubt, don't be...do it!!

I remember when I picked mine up from David Batty after having the Clive Ford Y and ACT manifolds fitted (no precats). Really made a huge difference, the noise made the car feel like it had 50 more BHP. No wonder people thought the Chim and late Griff were a bit lame sound wise in comparison to the pre-cat Griff and the wedges.

Same here, though I did it in my garage, ACT catless stst manifolds and a CliveF Y Piece. The engine just came alive with the free flowing exhaust gasses. The sound is awesome, I was planning to sleeve the silencer but I'm not planning that any more, it sounds just right and the pops still bring a smile to my face thousands of miles later

Did the same in my garage but exhaust system was sleeved prior, considered reverse sleeve initially but not any more, the noise is addictive! thumbup
