Sunday 14th August is "National Drive your TVR Day". It is also the day of the Ley Hill Classic Car Show so why not bring your 'S' along. Let me know if you want to come and I'll organise some extra spaces. It's free but donations to the charity bucket would be appreciated.

Does about 1/2 a mile to Ley Hill count as "driving" ? ... wink

To quote Sprint ".....as long as it's not under cover it counts." laugh

Sorry, I'll be much too busy doing extreme ironing on that day yikessilly

In actual fact I will be away in Welsh Wales for a weekend with friends in my newly acquired TVR support vehicle. ( The off-road Mondeo has finally expired.) Well, sold for spares or repairs.

So just to be contrary, 'Drive It Day' will be one of the few days of the year when neither of my TVRs will be used! frown

I was thinking of maybe an airfield breakfast and a drive around the Cotswolds.

Anyone fancy that ?

Would that be on the Saturday 13th Nige, don't think the Touchdown Cafe opens on Sundays?

Could be tempted to pop my airfield breakfast cherry. What time would you be at the Touchdown cafe?

ETA I assumed this was near Redditch because of Mike's comment, but I see there was a winky in his post. If that is the case, I may forgo the breakfast (sadly my airfield breakfast cherry stays intact) but I would like to go to this Joe, if nothing gets in the way. Looks a good event. thumbup

Much confusion, Cafe is near Stratford on Avon, about 20 miles from Redditch. When we've met before on Saturdays (Sunday opening must be new thing?) it's been at opening time, 9:00 am

Joe's car show is about 1/2 mile from Joe's house, not sure that really enters the spirit of "drive your TVR day" but there is a tricky left right onto the Village Green, that should give his big brake mod a good test wink

And I'd love to visit Joe's palatial abode, but I'm only allowed out to play in the morning !

I'm available for breakfast either morning (hopefully I'll be allowed out !)

Would need to be a quickie on Saturday.

It's our region "Show n Shine" concours, BBQ & camping extravaganza Saturday and I've organised a "Bucket n Spade" run to the east coast (Sutton-On-Sea) for fish n chips followed by ice-cream.

Sunday's seaside run leaves The Trent Port public house car park in Gainsborough @10:00am if any one fancies it - everyone welcome.
