the dash in my S1 is in a terrible state and I wish to sort it and redesign / position warning lights / switches and dials. so needs recovering and I'm looking to 'lift' the interior by changing the colour away from dark blue to a mid grey? leaving the dash top dark blue. Would also do the door cards too.

I'm open to suggestions and also if any-one has the name / number of a person who does this sort of thing at a reasonable cost.

The centre of the dash finishes at the radio slot (I needed to gain access to a broken gearlinkage while out on a trip a while ago)

Hi Mick.
Changed mine to two pieces, bottom removes to get access to the gear box ECU plugs.

That's a lot of gauges - what do they show?

I'm looking at adding 52mm clock and fuel pressure

We can (colour change) subject to where you are (details in my profile)

Edit, appears you're around two hours away, unless you could courier us the bits.

Oil Accumulator start up Pressure

I got the leather and scrim from ebay, I did it in a day, not so hard to do, just hope I can do as good a job with the cards.

That's the catch!

Why not buy some vinyl and have a go yourself? You can sew light vinyl with a good quality domestic sewing machine using a leather needle (no, not made of leather!) and strong thread. I machined up lots of trial sections when I was experimenting with my hood. Time to learn a new skill thumbup

Hi Mick.
I spent about £140 on all the bits, Leather, Scrim, glue and Sewing thread, enough to do the all the seats, door cards, dash and rear hood rail. Worked out the dash cost about £20 quid and time. Going to take the seats to be done as it might look a better job that I can do.

I spent about 4 hours filling in the old dash holes and re glassing them to a clean finish
