Speedometer Transducer
Discussion
Cut a long story short, during the three drives after the chassis rebuild the speedo was intermittent.
Had a closer look at the connections and the three pin plug either side close to the gearbox was rotten.
Has I had no more of these connections I simply cut off the plugs and connected the wiring using a plastic box connector, sorry don't know what the technical term is!!
Kept the wiring the same Yellow to grey brown to brown and black to black. I have power through the black wire into the transducer but now I cannot get any speed reading and the miles counter has also stopped working.
Am I missing something obvious or do I need to do something else?
I have tried to find a replacement transducer and at the mo been quoted 150.00 for a second hand unit.
All help greatly appreciated.

Try this. I used one of the Transit senders referred to in the thread and it worked for me.
