Barry, I believe Max is good at gearbox removal and clutch changes.
Have a look at his "How I got Tony to do it for me" thread on here earlier this year.
It shows where to grind away a section of two of the gearbox tail housing reinforcing webs to clear the gearbox mounting brackets when removing and refitting the gearbox.

This begs the question: How many are still running around with the dreaded yellow connector???
If you have any spurious electrical problems with your S, it may be time to whip off that steering column cowl and check to see if you still have this potentially troublesome item lurking there somewhere in amongst that mare's nest.
