Starter motor sourcing

Does anyone have any recommendations for a starter motor on a S2 2.9 1990?

Get a click with key turn, sometimes a start, rocking the car in gear normally makes it work, but not reliably enough.

Connector under dash is bypassed, good connection to solenoid, good earth. So suspect the solenoid is iffy, or the motor is sticking part engaged.

You should remove the starter and check the state of the teeth and also check all the teeth on the flywheel as this could be the cause of the sticking.
