I think they price according to repairs required, mine was £75.00 plus the dreaded.

Well done for pursuing that. I wonder, did they have any evidence of the long term success of this process? It hasnt been going very long has it?

Not a bad price really, stainless replacement (if possible to get machined up) would be double that id imagine?
I dare take mine off as i dont want to delay my 'S' any longer rolleyes

I contacted this company recently (January 2019) and sent a photo. My cap is a lot more eroded than the one shown earlier in this thread - roughly about 80% of the chrome has gone. Their reply says :

"We still offer this service, However cannot guarantee results. A rough idea on costs as below:
1 x fuel cap assembly £125 + VAT & return postage ".

That makes £150 plus postage, with no guarantee. Has anyone had one of their refinished items for a while, to give an idea of durability in the longer term?

I posted originally, the refurbished cap has now been on the car for a couple of years.

In that time I’ve covered over 10,000 miles, to date the cap still looks as good as the day I fitted it.

I actually sent mine in for an appraisal, when they called me they gave me a price and also said that they couldn’t guarantee the finish, I decided to go ahead, I’m glad I did. It looks so much better.

Incidentally, I bought this last year from Neil at ML performance parts. The only downfall is you need to use the existing button and base/hinge. If they are bad too it won’t look to good.
