Mazak repairs to allow chroming of fuel cap
Discussion
I contacted this company recently (January 2019) and sent a photo. My cap is a lot more eroded than the one shown earlier in this thread - roughly about 80% of the chrome has gone. Their reply says :
"We still offer this service, However cannot guarantee results. A rough idea on costs as below:
1 x fuel cap assembly £125 + VAT & return postage ".
That makes £150 plus postage, with no guarantee. Has anyone had one of their refinished items for a while, to give an idea of durability in the longer term?

I posted originally, the refurbished cap has now been on the car for a couple of years.
In that time I’ve covered over 10,000 miles, to date the cap still looks as good as the day I fitted it.
I actually sent mine in for an appraisal, when they called me they gave me a price and also said that they couldn’t guarantee the finish, I decided to go ahead, I’m glad I did. It looks so much better.
