Who's going to Chatsworth? ??
Discussion
Hi Enna,
Looking forward to seeing you & Rick there.
On the Sunday I will mostly be wearing orange, as I will be there on marshalling duties.
I strongly recommend the Saturday High Peak Run, organised by our very own Nomad Kev in his beautiful Starmist Red Tuscan. ( or it might be Nightfire Red? It's very highly polished anyway! )
The route takes in some beautiful scenery, starting from Chatsworth House, processing through the Golden Gates ( a rare privilege ), stopping in Buxton for lunch at the Pavilion Gardens, and finishing at the Monsal Head Hotel with its' breathtaking views high above the valley. As I once explained to AutoAndy, it's a bit like Norfolk, but in wonderful 3-D.
Not to be missed.
Hoping for another big turnout on the Sunday, it's £5 per car in advance from the TVRCC Office or £7 on the gate. This entitles you to reduced admission into the magnificent Chatsworth House itself, well worth a tour.
Edit: I should add that the Sunday Autumn Gathering is open to all, not just Club members. You do not even have to own a TVR, just as long as you have an interest in the marque.
Let's face it, whose head has not been turned at the sight & sound of a brightly coloured, beautifully shaped rather raucous true British TVR sports car?

I was going to be going but the thought of Glen 'mostly in orange' has forced a rethink!!
No, dont worry Glen, it would take more than that to put me off. All being well the 'sheep in wolfs clothing' will be there to confuse the marshals again. This photo was taken there a couple of years ago, last S to leave. For the very observant amongst the PH regulars, spot the two obvious changes in the car since then (plus a third, more difficult to spot).

I'm going to be there with Mrs B.
It'll be my first time there so I'm looking forward to heading north in my little S
I hope the organisers have booked good weather - Glen ?
Well Niiige, we have done all we can:It'll be my first time there so I'm looking forward to heading north in my little S

Lots of dancing naked around the ancient stone circle under a full moon, offerings suspended from the lower branches of the mother tree, and libations poured with abandon down many necks.
We are also planning to make a sacrificial offering to the weather gods on the eve of the equinox if you're free that night. ( You are still a virgin, aren't you? )
Oh, and we have got our fingers crossed as well!

Will the S series be able to park together in a designated area on the Sunday. It would be a bonus ,
Unfortunately not - it's very difficult to organise with only a few marshals and many people prefer to park up in the group they travel with as they arrive in convoy.Still a good event and the drive out on Saturday is a great route too.
See you there.
Max
I'm sure looking round the S series cars, &meeting up with other tvr car owners too will be a great time for everyone,
I hope we can get some of the important jobs done on the car before then
Targa tang repaired &the petrol sender unit replaced
The hood & replacement material for the targa roof will be an over the winter job
See you all there

I'll be there but not in the Griff. We are on holiday in the Peak District and SWMBO wants to visit Chatsworth!
SWMBO may also like a scenic tour around the Peak District on Saturday ( usually a few spare seats going ) http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
