Whilst you car is at chassis stage. Could you measure the seat belt mounting brackets for me please. Mine had rusted away and I need to get some new ones made. Height from top of outrigger and width is all I need. Thanks.
OK will do, but it's a barn 15 miles from me. I go there every Tuesday evening, can you wait ?

Someone has given me some dims now, but I would like a second measurement, Tuesday would be great. Could you measure the distance from the rear larger tube for me too please. many thanks. Your project is looking good so far, look forward to seeing the end results.
yes saw that, good CAD work ! I already planned to take that measure for you, as said before : only the position of the nut matters ;-)

Sorry, a bit later, but the distance from the middle of the nut to the tube is 150 mm. Both sides ;-)

Hi Stuart, no not the original colour that was a bit too light blue. This is Ford BCYE spirit blue metallic. I already fitted the anti-ford device 😀

Sorry bit late to this party but looks fantastic! Is the plan to put back stock or are u planning any fancy upgrades?
Standard, nothing fancy. Because of rust in the cylinders, new tophat liners were fitted. And of course all new injectors, camshaft, lifters , water pump etc.
Doing 245 BHP now, guess that's sufficient ;-)

Slow progress but at least the engine is back in. Hopefully next jobs will be easier than this shoehorning ;-)

Finally some progress again, had to help my friend Mark with his Griff 4.3 for a while. The Griff is up and running now ;-)

Fuel tank inside cleaned (what a nightmare) and sealed, outside painted. Its ready to be fitted now, continued with the cooling system and induction.
Alternator was a bit dirty but now all shiny again. Polishing is addictive ;-)

Some pics as evidence, the rebuild continues !!

Can't give up on this car and not a fan of FB. !! This is the original factory lay-out which I would like to keep as much as possible. In this area the V8 and V6 bonnets are the same ;-) Below picture from another car.

Thanks for the update Han. I guess you will have the car finished and ready for next spring?
Ha ha ... no pressure here. No fixed plans on the V8S. At least I have a running fast green S3 as well ;-)
