Slow progress but at least the engine is back in. Hopefully next jobs will be easier than this shoehorning ;-)

Han, that is coming along nicely. Particularly like those manifolds, they look fantastic. cool

I think that will be a very special car when you have it finished. thumbup

Finally some progress again, had to help my friend Mark with his Griff 4.3 for a while. The Griff is up and running now ;-)

Fuel tank inside cleaned (what a nightmare) and sealed, outside painted. Its ready to be fitted now, continued with the cooling system and induction.
Alternator was a bit dirty but now all shiny again. Polishing is addictive ;-)

Some pics as evidence, the rebuild continues !!

Thanks for posting an update, and well done for getting back to the restoration.

I had feared that you had either given up on the project or given up on Pistonheads!

I like the solution for the air filter, and I'm amazed there is enough clearance from the bonnet. Does the profile of the V8 bonnet differ from the V6 and create more room?

Looking brilliant though and hopefully there will be another update before long. smile

Can't give up on this car and not a fan of FB. !! This is the original factory lay-out which I would like to keep as much as possible. In this area the V8 and V6 bonnets are the same ;-) Below picture from another car.

Thanks Han, for some reason it's something I have never noticed before.
I can't understand why either, as I must have gazed at dozens of V8 engine bays before!

Thanks for the update Han. I guess you will have the car finished and ready for next spring?

Ha ha ... no pressure here. No fixed plans on the V8S. At least I have a running fast green S3 as well ;-)
