Whilst the chassis is away ...
Discussion
Well the chassis has been shot blasted and its not fared as well as first thought. Lots of holes in the main rails.
Needless to say its going to take a little longer to repair. So, whilst i have some time on my hands I'm titivating the odd bit here and there, I've finished one cam cover, just the other to do .... what do you think?

Joe,
They were powder coated but I decided I wanted the ribs in alloy.
I initially used wet and dry to sand the powder coating off the ribs .... I underestimated how resilient the powder coating is!
I ended up using 120 grit sand paper in my Dewalt sander! I then used 600 wet and dry to remove the sanding marks.
I was going to keep sanding down to 2000 and then polish but I actually like the satin look.
The photo was taken before I applied a clear laquer to seal.
