Now now boys, put those handbags down.
Gave up on handbags Glen, so difficult to get them to match my shoes you know! On the vexed subject of handbags, and in view of the discussion on the value of V8S cars, you might care to compare the value of V8's with handbags. There are people out there with a lot more money than sense. And yes, this is real, I know someone who works for them.

OK, OK, I take the comments about going to 'London', just cant see any fun in that drive in the S from Preston. But no matter where you choose it is a difficult one for someone.
(Interesting that when the Eurotour 2017 was suggested to be in Scotland a lot of the southern members and at least one midland one didnt like it, an extra days driving for them! Eurotour France/Holland/Germany etc is an extra day driving for us oop norf tha ken!)

When is the S Tour of western Jockland going to be? I can't make Euro in 2017 due to spending more than all my money on a diving trip to the western Pacific, so should be ok for 2018 especially if it is in EuroScot.

There is another at Corbridge (A69 between Newcastle and Carlisle) first weekend in July - not sure about Camping arrangements - but with 700 vehicles last year I would imagine there would be.

I can confirm that camping is allowed.http://www.mg-cars.org.uk/news/news1097.html

If this is 'North enough' could be good for 2018?

No problem here with a trip down sowf (nor up t'north in 2018) , can we get a group buy on the congestion charge? ...
As I understand it at the moment, the congestion charge applies to Central London, and does not apply at weekends anyway Mike. http://www.visitlondon.com/traveller-information/g...
If anyone knows different, please let us know.
If you're worried about congestion, Vick Vapour Rub is good. Or goose grease and camphor.
"Ey oop mate, is this London"
"Yes it is"
"Great, where do you want this load of wood then?"
....note I was born north of Watford ....
If you are driving in the congestion charge area, then you will be much too far into the city! ....although it doesn't apply at weekends....like London Thunder in 2007(?) when we blocked Whitehalll with hundreds of TVRs

Mike - it ain't London. Its more like Slough (Big Difference!). We could always pop over the road to Windsor and park up outside the castle for a cup of tea with her majesty!
Unfortunately any journey which involves the M25 especially around HEATHROW is a gamble at certain times of the day.Uxbridge would involve either for most A1 or M1 coming from the north, or M4 which again can have traffic in and out of the M25 .I used to live in Ashtead, SURREY so know the trouble areas well.
I used to hate taking the TVR up and down the M25, mentalist drivers for one reason !!!

Hello fellow S TVR fans.i am looking at the Web page for venues for 2017 , we will be at Stoneleigh Park, Any others meets a bit nearer to us in Norfolk area beforehand?
Hi Enna, Hopefully either TopGear Steve or AutoAndy will organise the "Freezing fish'n'chips run to Aldeburgh in Jan/Feb, and a re-run of the S-Club Norfolk TT sometime in April?
Keep an eye on the events wiki, it gets busier as more events/ meets are added.
Anybody is free to come up with their own suggestions ( No, Steve, I won't do that! ), so if you know of any thing happening, put it on here!

Was that the one where we stopped for lunch at a "motoring themed" cafe? Re Stoneleigh: Alan said at the NEC that we might as well still book a TVR area with the organisers of the kit car show, so any of us can still attend and use it as a camping base for Stratford Festival of Motoring and/ or Donington Historic.
Both Alan & I are keen to go there, and anybody with a TVR is welcome to join us.

I seem to recall it was "Rick's Diner". Tasty burgers and delicious ice cream.
