As shinny as it is I believe it to be standard steel, the chassis didn't look to bad on first inspection. The outriggers had been replaced 7 years ago and the car had been dry stored for four years since. It was a different story once it was blasted!

Other than a few mods, Brakes, suspension and bonnet hinge, I'd like to restore the car back to as close to standard spec as i can so the chassis will be Red.

Looks a lot like mine did at that stage.
Tis amazing how those professionals keep their work area tidy !
And my ongoing knowledge of all this S, means I can even recognise that yours is a V8 chassis.... Unless I'm wrong ?

Good Luck, great progress so far, but if you ask (Terry and) me, idea you'll have to paint that chassis blue !

Looks great. If you're interested in giving your dampers some much-needed protection, you can get damper covers from various places that slide over the outside of the springs. It does hide them away, which is a shame when they're so clean and shiny, but without protection they won't stay looking clean and shiny for long.

I found with my last Tiv that a regular blast with truckwash and a light rub over with a paint brush, followed by a hose down kept it looking fresh.

This photo was taken shortly before i sold it, at this stage it had covered 9000 miles.
