Could be a nice little project............ TVR 280S... scratchchin

Whip that crappy 2.8 out and drop a 2.9 in wink

Surprises me how many S's keep "coming out of the woodwork"

Having looked again at the ebay advert it is G reg and described as having a 2.9 engine!!! Looks like it is an S2?

Tell him Smokey! Us S1 owners need to stick together, we have been through alot of heartache with our k-jetronic systems laugh

On a positive note its really good to see the prices creeping up on all the S models

Phillpot, stop stirring! nono It's only a 100cc difference.
I love 'em both! The 2.8 definitely sounds better though! earscloud9

Here's an old familiar S2:

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-S-series-S2-2-9-new-MO...

Ex Drak / S2Mike / Drak again.

Quote: "I don’t want to sell my S but I have to, so it is up for sale as a winter bargain, the S series cars have double in value in the last couple of years and will only continue to rise in value, there were only a few hundred of these cars ever made and this is a really good one, your money is much better off in the S than in the bank that is for sure!".

Well a 280i is a Tasmin. What's on the advert is an S2, and it sounds like it's registered as a 280S.

As regards the 2.9 being much better than the 2.8 malarky, I hate to break it to you, but they're both st laugh

Car looks tidy though. Price is keen assuming the chassis is as good as he says, but then a £3k bill wouldn't buy you very much unless you did all the labour yourself.

Potentially good though. Certainly looks nice smile
