280s Off side exhaust manifold wanted
Discussion
Hi
Unfortunatly while loading the s chassis onto a trailer we caught the exhaust and cracked the O/S exhaust manifold.
Just wondering if anyone had one or knows where they can be sourced from??
I spoke to ACT but £500 for a set of tubular manifolds would be nice but to expensive for us!

Hi Roland,
These are extremely rare parts to source these days, if the manifold you require is the original o/s cast iron TVR 2.8 S1 exhaust manifold.
It was originally derived from the 2.3 V6 Cologne as fitted to the very rare 2.3 Cortina or Granada in the UK, or the Taunus in Germany.
I happen to have one remaining brand new old stock manifold, but it would need grinding as per the TVR factory mod, so that it clears the adjacent chassis rail.
I have successfully done this using a 10.5" grinder to replace the cracked one on my own S1.
If you would like the last manifold going spare, let me know.
I am not looking for a huge profit, I would just like to see our chosen S Club charity benefit whilst keeping another S1 on the road.
PM me for details if interested.

ACT are not the only company who fabricate SS Exhausts, there are numerous (Really, much more than you would ever expect) up and down the country.Unfortunatly while loading the s chassis onto a trailer we caught the exhaust and cracked the O/S exhaust manifold.

The top one would fit S1 nearside.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-V6-2-3-2-8-Cologne-...
Bottom one will not fit S1 offside without modifying the downpipe ( hockey stick )
The one TVR used is this shape:
And this part no. :
