The machine is small cnc router. I'm adapting the control to run my milling machine so that I can produce some fancy braketry.
Nice one.

couple of very frustrating weeks narrowed down to a faulty coil pack, so time for other stuff.
You know that thing that when your bowling along on a nice warm day, roof off, windows down and those face vents work just great. Then you get stuck in traffic and hey presto, they dont.
Well

This is a nice little fan from CBS.

And this is the fan with filter under the front OS wing, it feeds both face vents.

And this is a new inner wheel arch

All in place. Arch is 0.5mm stainless, it will be undersealed to keep it quiet.

This will be repeated on the NS with the engine air filter tucked away from the radiator plenum space.

Bit of a sad story about the vents. I had 2 good ones, dirty but good. So I washed them and stood them on the boot to dry out. Now my garage is serviced by a private drive that only 2 people use, I'm one and the other is on holiday for several weeks. But on washing day a small truck backed up the drive to clear some rubbish and ran over the vent that had blown of the boot. 1 truck in six weeks. furiousfuriousfurious
I managed to track down a pair in Kentucky for £13.... +£37 to get them to the UK. Moral of this story. Don't wash your dirty vents in public.

Only "slightly loud"? That's disappointing!
Would love to see/ hear the car in the flesh, seems pretty amazing project from what I've seen on here. Well done you. clap

ears "Slightly loud".

That's priceless! biggrin

Nice work Alan, and some great improvements. thumbup

I honestly don't think there are many "purist" owners of TVR S's.
Every one came out of the factory different in some way, and it's good to see individuals making improvements to the breed to make them easier to live with and perform better.
It would be boring if the cars ( and owners ) were all the same....

Made it to Bury St Edmunds, and more importantly made it back. not quite sure why I was parked next to the recovery truck.

176 miles and 25 mpg, and not set up yet. Speedo broke after around 10 mins, had to rely on GPS for speed but other than that no issues.
