What are the chances of welding these in place without destroying the dash?
And if they will weld why didn't TVR?

Or buy a properly engineered solution from Peter Wiggins?

I would have a Spot Weld with low pressure/short time sequence, would have done the job with very little distortion.

Cool the metal off after every weld.

With the wood veneer on?

What glue is thought best? I've tried Araldite Rapid without success, though possibly due to overtightening the fixing nuts. The plastic one appears to have the best pull load performance but I'm joining two metals?

I assumed that the dash was BARE metal - since that is how the factory would have done it. Then re-veneer the dash, after the spot welding process.

I doubt there is any good veneer on this one

Ended up welding the clips that had fallen off without suffering any distortion to the main face of the dash.
Also welded an m5 stud where one had failed.
This was done in bare metal state with veneer to follow,
fitting a refurbed dash seems to be all the rage at the moment but I've missed out on one of Pete's masterpieces.
Refitting the refurbed item without damaging the veneer or the vinyl surround covering is interesting work.
