Another one available. Collected mine this morning and it is very well made. It will be fitted this afternoon!
You should be able to get this at a better price than what I paid ................ I won't be bidding on this one!

The advert says it fits S2/S3, Would it be likely to fit an S1?

Apparently so. that's the reply I got from Christopher Neills when I contacted them for the one I bought. Give them a call to confirm - they were very helpful. Speak to Adam when you call.

It will, but the rear mount for the S1 is in a different place, so you'd need to get a little bit creative.

Ok thanks I'll keep an eye on it, the box I've got has a sillencer almost all the way to the front. It's been bodged at the front joining the downpipes and it's a solid join with loads of cement, I assume this should be flexible as the rest of the exhaust is pretty much solid mounted?

No it's a solid join on the original setup too (we're not talking the last degree of engineering precision here!) You'll need to make sure your downpipes aren't knackered too, if someone's been in and bodged it up.

The exhaust has been fitted ............. I used to have an S2. It sounded fantastic .......... a proper burble from the exhaust and a proper roar when accelerating. My S4 has never sounded the same. 'That's because it has CATS', you say. Well I thought the same. Until fitting this new exhaust. It doesn't have the front oval silencer box that obviously kills most of the 'good' sound ................ the difference is amazing. I now have an S4 that sounds like a TVR should sound. I've rediscovered my burble and roar!!!!!! What a difference. And for those that suggest it would be too loud, I guarantee you not. I don't like over loud motors. But I do like the TVR sound! Well worth the 206 quid.

The old and the new. The overall length is exactly the same as the original. There is no oval box and the rectangular box is slightly shorter.
It is very well made. And a nice touch is that the back end of each pipe has had a polished stainless piece added.

Blimey! Has something been trying to eat your old one?

Yes. It was the Burble & Roar eater that got to it. Got mine back with the new system! I can't believe the difference. And I no longer have the annoying rattle.

The old one is stainless and doesn't look its best. It will clean up okay though.

I'm not mad on those mandrel bends on the new system, they look pretty restrictive. That's the main difference with some of the aftermarket systems versus OEM ones - smooth bends or kinked bends.

Restriction is minimal , if anything at all and therefore no noticeable performance change. It's under the car ............. so you don't see it. Sounds bloody superb. I've no issue with it whatsoever.

Well obviously there's going to be more restriction in the newer system's bends, but on the flipside the old system probably had a collapsed silencer like most of them do, so what you lose in one respect you gain in another! And it's not like the Cologne can shift much gas, so it's fair that you probably haven't noticed a difference.

Certainly a good price, would be keen to see pics of one fitted to a car up close though!

Well, this one just sold for £306.99, which is still very reasonable.
Quite a bit more than my limit though. frown
Well done whoever bought it.

Upperthong, you got yourself a bargain with that first one. smile

Looks like I did. Not sure if they have more of these to sell or not. Now that I can assess the difference between what I had and what I now have, it would still have been a good deal at 306.99. Still can't believe the difference in the sound.

I was an under bidder, and had an email apologising that a colleague at the garage had sold the exhaust elsewhere. They do have one for an S1 going on later today.

Bloody Hell
Have just cleaned up the exhaust I removed from the S .................... tipped it on its end to see what was causing the rattle and if it would come out ................... it did. A hand full of small pebbles. Some blighter has obviously dropped them down the back of the pipes.
Only consolation is that I have improved the sound of mine, but appears it didn't need a new exhaust!
Will be putting it on an auction site later if anyone needs a spare, an upgrade to stainless or has a damaged one on their car. It has cleaned up very well.
