If you switch to a Subaru radiator, you could run a hose from the upper bleed-off on the rad to that extra spigot.

Thanks to the tips from everyone on resolving my air lock problems. Big shout out to 'tvrgit' the bleed screw tip worked a treat. Had to higher the front end a bit (air bubbles will travel to the highest point). Now purring like a kitten, and the new water pump means I can hear the fan kick in. Was a very noisy bearing.
