Does anyone have or have a access to the SYKES PICKAVANT 081000 MK III,IV,V,tool. My diff bushes are shot.

.

I'm in the Watford area. I've scoured eBay, preload, gumtree to no avail.

If not, does anyone have a magic wand handy?

Thanks

Simon.

What does the tool look like? I could possibly make you a getto one if you're proper stuck? I'm in Dunstable btw.

one of these? ebay link

I think you would be just as well off with a length of M10 stud bar and a couple of sockets (can't recall off hand which size) to draw the bush into

You don't need a special tool.

Remove the diff and the mounting bolt for access.

I did mine at Sardonicus garage and I believe he used the small saw to cut the bush sleeve and then knock it out.
It was out in about half an hour tops. Thanks Simon!

Thanks all, M10 on its way. I've just been quoted £220 + parts+ vat. I think I'll manage this one.

As above. The bush sleeve will need cutting as this corrodes to the steel it's fitted in. Then a nice big cold chisel and mallet to knock the old corroded bush sleeve out. Those removal tools generally only remove fresh bushes

I agree the price is fair. Is absolutely necessary to remove the diff?

If you are going to use the M10 bar to try and extract the bushes you should try and squirt some penetrating oil in a few days before, assuming they are the same as the suspension arms that I have just replaced I also tried a threads bar but couldn't move them, I ended up using a 100t press, that moved them easily, but ones I had soaked in oil before came out without the press registering any pressure, the other ones cracked at about 10t
