That is on a need to know basis, and can only be revealed to fellow owners.

But I would suggest the op's comment "go back in" would imply take the dash out, again?
Just seen this
If you read the question you will see it was in response to Steve D reply, he was just asking how you could repair and change connectors with the dash in.
Not the response I would expect this forum

Alan
I appreciate your concern but would be happier if you left it to me
Should you become involved in a heated debate (it does sometimes happen) of any sort regarding something I had posted or a response to one of my posts I would feel it time for me to move on from here, I have no intention of breaking up a happy forum

How's your wiring going?

I hope this helps, below is your original post that mentions there is not much room behind the dash, if the dash was removed from the vehicle there would be plenty of room. Your post mentioning not much room behind the dash suggests that the dash is fitted in the vehicle
I posted
I need to know how the OP can check every wire without pulling the dashboard out
Thank you in advance
You replied with When did I infer you could do the job without taking the dash out?

Steve_D said:
You are looking at a very big job to replace the wiring so unless it is very bad I would suggest just checking each wire and repairing where required and fitting new connectors again if required.
There is not much room behind the S dash so don't be surprised if you end up not actually gaining anything in the tidying stakes.

I don't understand
The OP started his thread saying the wiring behind the dash was a mess.
What I was saying was the space behind the dash is very tight so despite the OPs best efforts he would have difficulty getting the mass of wiring any tidier. Anyone who knows the back of the dash will know there is nothing much you can do in there without taking it out so I just assumed they would know it was coming out.

Ha ha you guys... we all know Pen has only seen pictures of or cars and not actually had one.. he seems to have some wiring knowledge which is welcome.. but I did notice he found the 3 fan wiring diagram on the Chim forum.. I say that's as on a couple of occasions you have been asked about your car and nada came back. Also you seem to flit from One forum to another.

Anyhoo back to OP post.. is the wiring giving issues or just ugly.?

Personally I am taking a phase approach so had issues with lights, have now pretty much made new front light loom and will retro fit shortly, then need to do centre console and window wiring with relays. At some point may do the dash but as said it's a major job and thankfully all my dash wiring seems to work for now so I'm leaving alone.

If you do want / need to retire the dash or have major issues somewhere then yup dash out and redo as much or little as needed.. sorting good earths will probably halp some.

Good luck

Sorry it's just the thought of it brings on nightmares. I'm a big fella so working upside down in footwells is not easy.
I took a dash out on Friday but I've had the weekend and some stiff drinks to recover. With any luck the 'Veneers' will be away for refurbishment for a while which will aid my recovery.
